JKLU signed a Letter of Understanding (LoU) with the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) on 29 September, marking an important step towards strengthening academic-industry collaboration in the securities market and financial services domain.

The collaboration envisages opportunities for curriculum integration, faculty development, certification examinations, recruiter connect and industry-oriented learning.

The LoU was formally signed by CA K.K. Maheshwari, Registrar and CFO, JKLU and an authorised representative of NISM. Following the signing, Mr. Tarun Sharma from NISM conducted an informative session highlighting career opportunities in the securities market and the role of NISM certifications in enhancing students' professional knowledge, skills and career readiness.

A subsequent faculty interaction with the NISM delegation provided a platform to discuss academic collaboration, faculty development and future industry-oriented initiatives. The ceremony reinforced JKLU's commitment to strengthening industry engagement, enhancing student employability and developing professional competencies aligned with the financial services sector.
