- Amitanshu Shrivastav of JKLU’s Institute of Design has designed Turtel- An Assistive Product, a product for the Elderly, which was selected amongst the top 15 For Lexus Design Award India in Open Category. The concept has cleared the preliminary stage and has been nominated for a Design Award. He was also part of a Mentoring Session by Lexus Design Award. The product is in the testing stage and is still evolving.
- Dr Devika Kataria of JKLU chaired a webinar event on High Performance Printed Electronics by Prof Ravinder Dahiya of University of Glasgow, organized by Samtel Centre for Display Technologies (SCDT) and the National Centre for Flexible Electronics (FlexE Centre), IIT Kanpur on December 14, 2021. The webinar was aimed at bringing together researchers in Flexible Electronics and allied areas from across India (and other countries) on a single platform to promote professional interaction.
- Naman Choubey and Divyans Saharia, students of BBA final year, JKLU, won the 2nd prize and Rs 75000/- in cash for their start-up “Plantership” in start-up contest “RUNWAY” which was conducted by “VIRAL FISSION”, a Mumbai based company.
- Team “DURT”, comprising of JKLU students Ujjwal Solanki, Tanmay Agarwal, Deependra Sharma and Ritik Ranjan have been selected for incubation with RENERGii, in their “Circular Cities Asia” program, and granted an award of USD 4000. The incubation will be a 3-month commitment from January 6 – April 1, 2022. The teams will work closely with the RENERGii team members to design a minimum viable product (MVP) for their solution, learn and apply validation techniques, and build and put their MVP to trial.
Student Exchanges
- Nikhil Agarwal, 2018 B.Tech EEE student, has informed that he has reached Florida safely and has joined University of Florida, his semester is starting from 5 Jan 2022.
- Anmol Singh Shekhawat, 2018 B.Tech EEE student, has received his Visa and shall be leaving for University of Amsterdam on 1 Feb 2022.
- Eight students of JKLU are spending a Semester at IIT Gandhinagar. They are Akash Mittal, Jinal Swarnakar & Mohak Goyal of BTech CSE, Sem 4; Somprabha Kashyap & Jaya Sodhani of BTech EEE, Sem 4; and Prachika Kanodia, Diyanshu Tripathi, Avnish Ranwa of BTech CSE, Sem 6.
