Naye Disha – Government School Outreach Program
On March 31, 2022 JKLU’s Community Development Club (CDC) started a new initiative called ‘Nayi Disha’, an outreach programme for Government Schools. Nayi Disha aims to provide students with avenues for personality development through curricular and extra-curricular activities. The activities will help students to identify and reflect their innate talent or nurture their interest beyond studies. It has been identified that students generally miss out on various such activities beyond academics which tend to add value to the education and make academics interesting for students having diverse capability and interests. A team of 10 student members of CDC visited Rajkiya Uchch Prathmik Vidhylaya located at Laliya Ka Bas village. They conducted activities including Dancing, Drawing, Solving IQ Puzzles, and Spoken English for around 95 students belonging to various classes. The activities were conducted in small batches based on the school student’s domain of interest. The students reflected high enthusiasm and participated with extreme joy. The initiative was coordinated by Club Vice President, Palle Sai Charan of BBA-IV Sem under the mentorship of Club Convener Dr. Upasana Singh, Assistant Professor, Institute of Management.
