Education for Empowerment: A Change Agent’s Perspective
Community Development Club, JKLU organized an interactive session on “Education for Empowerment: A Change Agent’s Perspective” on February 10, 2022. It was a virtual round table discussion organized to sensitize students on power of education in changing the social landscape. The event was organized in collaboration with Edjustice, a non-profit organization working towards reforming Public Education System in India. Mr. Ajay Singh, Founder of Edjustice shared the initiative undertaken by the NGO in strengthening education through the collaborative effort of student volunteers across the country. He emphasized that growth and development of the country depends on individuals’ action and we, as educated citizens, need to empower others. Students brain stormed and shared various ideas on how they can contribute in the direction and reach out to the deprived community.
