On February 27, 2022 the Community Development Club (CDC) of JKLU, in collaboration with Helping Hands NGO organized an event to celebrate birthday of underprivileged children who do not remember their birthdays or have not celebrated yet. The event was organized with an objective to spread smile and happiness in lives of such kids who are deprived of basic necessities of life and birthday celebration is a dream. The students collected voluntary contribution of money and gifts to make the celebration special for 50-60 such underprivileged children.  The event was held at Akshaya Patra, which was marked by cutting of cakes by kids, gift distribution and expression of their emotions. The event holds its relevance for instilling value of sharing in life and going beyond self to bring joy in others life.  It will also help students understand the importance of equality and inclusion in building better society for tomorrow. 20 students of JKLU from the Management, Engineering and Design institutes, actively participated to conduct the event under the guidance of CDC coordinator Dr. Upasana Singh.
