Biography

Ms. Shobha Mangal submitted her Ph.D. thesis at the LNM Institute of Information Technology (LNMIIT), Jaipur, in the area of computational finance. Her doctoral research focuses on the development and analysis of efficient, higher-order numerical methods for solving generalized, fractional, and jump-diffusion option pricing models. She completed her master's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar. During her M.Sc., she qualified CSIR-NET, JRF, and GATE, and was subsequently awarded the CSIR-JRF fellowship to pursue her doctoral studies. She has presented her research at reputed international conferences, including those held at IIT Ropar and South Asian University. Her current research interests lie in numerical analysis and higher-order finite difference methods, with applications to option pricing models such as time-fractional models, partial integro-differential jump-diffusion models, and regime-switching models. Alongside her research, Ms. Mangal has served as a Teaching Assistant at LNMIIT, mentoring undergraduate students in Real Analysis, Complex Analysis, Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations, and Linear Algebra.
