Krishna Chaitanya Solasa received his PhD from the École Centrale School of Engineering at Mahindra University, Hyderabad, India, where he investigated the tribological behaviour of wear-resistant metal nitride coatings. His earlier research during his master’s studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and the University at Buffalo focused on energy materials, smart and functional materials, and biomaterials. His research interests include tribology, spectroscopy, materials science and materials characterization, with an emphasis on establishing structure-property-performance relationships of materials for mechanical, manufacturing, functional, and energy-related applications.
