Biography

Mr. Ashutosh Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, JK Lakshmipat University, Jaipur. He has about ten years of teaching and four years of research experience. He completed his B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal in 2010, and an M.Tech in Information Technology (Networking) from VIT University, Vellore, in 2012. He is pursuing his Ph.D. (Thesis Submitted) from the Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad (IIITA) where his research focuses on IoT device security auditing and secure communication techniques. His broader research interests span Cybersecurity, IoT Security, Network Security, and Penetration Testing, with particular emphasis on vulnerability assessment and security auditing of connected devices. As part of his doctoral research, he was awarded a six-month Erasmus+ research exchange grant in 2025 and worked as a Researcher at Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM), Germany, fostering international collaboration in the area of IoT Security. His research contributions have been published in reputed international journals and conferences, including IEEE and ACM venues. He has also discovered multiple high-severity vulnerabilities in consumer routers, resulting in the assignment of five CVEs by MITRE.
