Biography

Dr. Ankush Soni holds a PhD from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, K.K. Birla Goa Campus, in the area of IoT Security with a focus on UAV Security and Applied Cryptography. His research is anchored around designing secure and efficient communication protocols for UAVs using cryptographic primitives, including lightweight variants of AES built on SHA-3 based key derivation and their integration into TLS 1.3 and QUIC transport stacks. His research contributions have been published in leading national and international conferences, including IEEE SMC and IC3. During his PhD he assisted as a teaching assistant in courses such as Data Structures and Algorithms, Computer Programming, and Cryptography, and his efforts were recognised through the Best Teaching Assistant Award 2023 by BITS Pilani, K.K. Birla Goa Campus.
