The Institute of Engineering & Technology conducted a two-day Project-Based Learning (PBL) workshop for faculty and first-year students on August 20 and 21. The workshop focused on learning from completed PBL projects, understanding the project lifecycle and its integration with courses, and developing a concrete implementation plan.

The first technical session, 'PBL in Practice: Completed Project Showcase' was attended by faculty members from the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) and the Centre for Communication and Computing Technology (CCCT). It helped faculty understand problem identification, project structure, interdisciplinary involvement, student roles, deliverables and outcomes.

The second technical session, 'From Project Idea to Execution', provided a detailed walkthrough of the PBL framework and project lifecycle using completed projects as examples. The session covered project phases, course integration and learning outcomes.

Interactions were also conducted with first-year students across sections to understand their perspectives and expectations. A campus facilities walkthrough familiarised the participants with the resources and facilities that students can realistically access and use for project development.
