The Institute of Management organised a session on “Higher Education in Europe: Opportunities to Outcomes” for the final year BBA students on August 25. The session, conducted as part of the Voice of Alumni Lecture Series, focused on opportunities for pursuing higher education in Europe, with particular emphasis on scholarships, country-wise options, lifestyle, and career outcomes. The session began with a welcome and introduction of Mr. Aaditya Vyas, a JKLU alumnus, who is currently pursuing an MS in Data Science for Economics at University of Milan, Italy.

Mr. Vyas shared practical insights from his own experience of studying abroad and discussed higher education opportunities in Italy, France, Sweden, Germany, Hungary, and the Netherlands. A significant part of the interaction focused on scholarships, including the process of identifying suitable opportunities, understanding eligibility requirements, and preparing applications. He also discussed how students should evaluate universities and programmes in relation to their academic interests and career goals.

The session also addressed the realities of living and studying abroad, including adapting to a different culture and environment and developing greater independence and responsibility. Mr. Vyas also highlighted the broader benefits of international education, including global exposure, networking, personal development, and career opportunities, and discussed the potential return on investment associated with studying abroad. Mr. Vyas’s own journey to pursuing higher education in Italy through a full scholarship added credibility and relevance to the discussion.
