Job Purpose:
The Sr. Manager – MEP & Facilities will be responsible for the efficient operation, maintenance and management of the University's MEP infrastructure and allied facility management services. The incumbent will ensure uninterrupted operations, statutory compliance, cost optimization, service excellence and support administrative initiatives for creating a safe, sustainable and well-maintained campus environment.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage the operation and maintenance of all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) and utility systems.
- Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of campus infrastructure and engineering services.
- Supervise waste management & facility operations.
- Coordinate with the security team to ensure safe and secure campus operations.
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts and monitor operational expenditures.
- Develop RFPs, technical specifications, tender documents and manage procurement processes.
- Monitor vendor performance, service level agreements (SLAs) and annual maintenance contracts (AMCs).
- Ensure compliance with statutory, fire & life safety and environmental regulations.
- Support planning and execution of institutional events from an infrastructure and facilities perspective.
- Drive cost optimization, energy conservation and process improvement initiatives.
- Leverage AI tools and advanced MS Excel for reporting, analytics and operational productivity.
- Lead, mentor and develop engineering and facility teams while promoting discipline, accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (MBA preferred).
- 15+ years of relevant experience in MEP and facility management, preferably in large campuses, hotels/ hospitality, healthcare or institutional environments.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, fire safety, budgeting, procurement, vendor management and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in Advanced MS Excel and AI-based productivity tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills with a mature and disciplined approach.
