Applications are invited for the position of one Research Assistant to work in the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), Delhi-sponsored research project no. 165/2025- 26/ICSSR/RP/MJ dated 15/03/2026 titled “Pathways to Social Inclusion in Vikshit India: Livelihoods, Aspirations, Digital Citizenship, and Identity Across Marginalized Rural and PeriUrban Communities” at JK Lakshmipat University, Jaipur, Rajasthan.

The position is purely temporary and is available immediately.

Research Team:

Project Director: Prof Sheetal Mundra

Co-Project Director: Prof. Manju Singh (MNIT, Jaipur)

Co-Project Director: Dr. Suresh Malodia (MICA, Ahmedabad)

Qualification/ Eligibility:

Research Assistant (RA): Postgraduate in Social Science discipline (55% minimum) with NET/M.Phil./Ph.D.

Fellowship/Remuneration:

As per recommendation of ICSSR (Rs. 37,000/- per month).

Duration: 20 months

Key Responsibilities:

• Literature review and research support

• Field data collection (rural and peri-urban areas)

• Survey design and interviews

• Data analysis and report writing

• Coordination and documentation for the project.

Required Skills:

• Strong research and analytical ability

• Knowledge of Quantitative and Qualitative Tools of Analysis

• Good communication and writing skills

• Willingness to travel for fieldwork
