Student Council

The Student Council at JKLU is a group of elected students who work together with the Department of Student Affairs to offer support and advice on matters related to the overall well-being of students. It aims to make resources easily accessible to every one and create an all-embracing environment for personal and professional growth. The office of student affairs constantly remains engaged in community development through multiple student activities and programmes to realise this mission.

JKLU Student Council comprises a dedicated team of student representatives from the Institutes of Engineering and Technology, Management, and Design to carry out various duties and responsibilities in their designated positions in the council.

General Secretary - III year

Leads the Student Council and keeps a systematic record of everything related to S.C.

Deputy General Secretary - II Year

Takes care of all the arrangements related to the university events/ activities.

Cultural Secretary - III Year

Takes care of all the cultural events and activities of the university throughout the year.

Deputy Cultural Secretary - II Year

Responsible for conducting new cultural events and activities on campus in addition to the regular events.

Technical Secretary - III Year

Takes care of all the technical events and activities of the university throughout the year.

Deputy Technical Secretary - II Year

Responsible for conducting new technical events and activities on campus apart from regular events.

Sports Secretary - III Year

Takes care of all the sports events and activities of the university throughout the year.

Deputy Sports Secretary - II Year

Responsible for conducting new sports events and activities on campus apart from regular events.

Academic Representative (B.Tech.) - IV Year

Responsible for establishing a bridge between academics in their respective departments and outside the classroom activities.

Academic Representative (BBA) - III Year

Responsible for establishing a bridge between academics in their respective departments and outside the classroom activities.

Academic Representative (B.Des.) - IV Year

Responsible for establishing a bridge between academics in their respective departments and outside the classroom activities.

Academic Representative (Pinnacle MBA) - IV Year

Placement Secretary - III Year

Secretary Alumni Relations - III Year

Creates a team for effective communication between university alumni through social media and other means to facilitate exchange of ideas and information. Conducts meetings with the alumni to help the students know their experiences.

P.R. Head - II Year

Responsible for giving students opportunities to participate in the events/ competitions of different colleges/ universities and vice versa. Maintains and builds university’s image and takes public/ students opinion from the college. Gives out important information/ awareness about university events and life on campus.
