JK Lakshmipat University’s Institute of Design celebrated Design Guru Day on 9 November, 2023 in memory of Prof. MP Ranjan to celebrate his birth anniversary. This year, the institute honoured Professor S. Balaram, former Chairman of Education at NIDA and Founder Dean of DJAD. Prof. Balaram is an accomplished and experienced design academician.

On the occasion, Prof. S. Balaram delivered the MP Ranjan Memorial Lecture 2023, titled: “The Design Education Imperative”. The event saw the coming together of students, faculty, and experts from the field of design to celebrate the legacy of design education. It was a day filled with inspiration, creativity, and camaraderie.
