How Trisha Roy Cracked the Code to Secure 100% Scholarship Every Year During Graduation

With 97% in her class XII, Trisha Roy secured 100% scholarship at the time of her admission to the Institute of Engineering and Technology at JK Lakshmipat University (JKLU) three years ago.

The challenge for her was to maintain a high CGPA to ensure continuation of her 100 per cent scholarship in the subsequent years.

At the same time, Trisha also wanted to reduce her study time at hostel as she thought that devoting some time to co-curricular activities was also equally important during college life.

“I do not study all the time. I like to score well but I also like to engage in activities that give me satisfaction,” she said.

“As for the co-curricular activities, I got into the student council in my very first year and got involved in the hackathon. In the second year, I became secretary of public relations and contributed to the tech fest and hackathon. During my third year, I was the head organizer of Sabrang, which is the university’s biggest cultural fest,” she said.

Trisha’s involvement in a wide range of cultural activities, however, did not affect her exam results.

Year after year, Trisha’s performance has remained consistent. And so has been her scholarship amount throughout – 100%.

The secret to her success was in the classes she had attended.

“What really helped me was my focus on learning in the classroom,” Trisha, who has a CGPA of 9.5, said.

“The environment at JKLU is very unlike any other educational institution I have been to. This is the most academically focused institution that I have ever come across,” she said.

“Here the standard of classroom teaching is very high as the faculty members are not only highly qualified but also supportive,” Trisha added.

The current semester at JKLU has been even busier for Trisha as she prepares to go abroad for her master’s degree in data science. And did we mention scholarships? Yes, she has got it covered.
