Maths, French and Apps: Ishika’s Many Learnings at IIT Gandhinagar

From delving into the fascinating world of Discrete Mathematics to developing a secure banking application and learning French, JK Lakshmipat University’s B.Tech student, Ishika Jain, made the most of her third semester that she got to spend at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IIT Gandhinagar).

Ishika’s journey to IIT Gandhinagar was made possible by JKLU’s student exchange programme that facilitates students to spend up to four semesters at premier technology institutions in India and abroad.

“This semester has been a remarkable blend of academic exploration, creativity, and personal development, strengthening my passion for learning and innovation,” Ishika said.
Apart from Discrete Mathematics, the courses she enjoyed learning the most at IIT Gandhinagar included Computer and Network Security.

“Another exciting aspect of this semester was learning French, which opened up a new cultural perspective for me and added a unique dimension to my academic journey at IIT Gandhinagar,” Ishika said.

“One of the most rewarding experiences this semester was designing an AI simulation using Value Iteration and Policy Iteration algorithms for a dynamic Grid World environment, guided by the exceptional mentorship of Neeldhara Misra ma’am,” she added.

During her stay at IIT Gandhinagar, Ishika also developed a secure banking application utilizing C++ and TLS/SSL encryption, emphasizing secure transactions and account management.

“I’m incredibly grateful to Abhishek Bichhawat Sir for his invaluable guidance on my CNS project, which enriched my learning immensely,” she recounted.
“I’m also thankful to JK Lakshmipat University for offering me this incredible opportunity. I’m excited to apply the knowledge and experiences I’ve gained to future projects and career opportunities,” she added.
