Biography

Dr. Ashwini Sharma is currently Acting Director at Institute of Management. He has been associated with JKLU since 2010 and has since contributed significantly towards institution building in various roles and capacities. He is an accomplished faculty in the area of IT/ IS, Data Analytics and General Management with over 23 years of teaching, research, training and administrative experience.

He has conducted numerous training programs for Executives of various organisations and is regularly invited as a Guest Faculty for FDPs conducted by a number of higher education institutes.

As a freelancer, he has successfully developed and implemented a number of information systems for organisations across various verticals like Automobiles, Pharmaceuticals, Paper, and Hospitality. He has also been associated with Container Corporation of India Limited for maintenance and enhancement of their information system.

Dr. Ashwini Sharma is on the Board of Studies of a number of Institutes and has also been empanelled as a Paper Setter and PhD Supervisor/ Examiner by a number of Universities.

He has varied teaching interests that include courses like Information Systems, Business Data Analysis, Research Methods, Statistics and Computer Programming.

He is a member of various professional bodies, such as Indian Society for Training and Development (ISTD), New Delhi; NHRD Network; Computer Society of India; Indian Science Congress Association and Insurance Institute of India.

He has authored/ co-authored more than fifty publications that include research articles published in refereed national and international journals, case studies, monographs, books, research reports, and manuals. Several case studies authored by him have been published by European Case Clearing House and have also been adopted by various publishers in their Case books.

He has attended over 100 conferences, seminars, and workshops and presented his research work at leading institutions across the country and abroad, such as Abu Dhabi University, UAE; IIM-Bangalore; IIM-Indore; IIM-Shillong, IIM-Ranchi, IIM-Amrtisar, IIM-Nagpur, AIMA, New Delhi; Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad to name a few. He has also won Best Research Paper awards for three of his research publications at various international and national conferences.
