ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
The B.Des in Interdisciplinary Design at JK Lakshmipat University is a unique offering, that caters to service the start-up industries. It is tructured to blend new-age technology with traditional design principles, fostering a comprehensive skill set in its graduates. The curriculum is dynamic, allowing students to select courses from a broad spectrum of design disciplines along with offerings from other institutes within the university. This holistic approach equips students with the ability to leverage technological advances, cultivate an entrepreneurial spirit, and develop a nuanced understanding of form, aesthetics, and visual language. The program prepares graduates to thrive in diverse settings, navigate ambiguities, and bridge various functions in any professional environment or specialize in a field of their choice.
What is Taught?
Courses to explore different facts of disciplines including Visual Design, Product Design, Interaction Design, Spatial Design, with a focus on problem solving and application.
Students can take courses not only from various domains and disciplines of design but also from other institutes of the University. They will learn to leverage new age technology and hone an entrepreneurial mindset. The students will become adept at understanding form and aesthetics, visual language and user-centric approach to developing products and systems in any discipline.
Interdisciplinary Design will help learners broaden their skills and knowledge and be able to cross-over and connect different domains of design, business, entrepreneurship, culture, technology and more.
