With the commencement of the 2025 admissions cycle, JK Lakshmipat University (JKLU) is broadening its academic offerings through a diverse range of programmes designed to equip students with the skills, knowledge, and adaptability needed to thrive in a fast-changing, technology-driven world.

Empowering Versatile Tech Leaders

Building on its core strength in Computer Science and Engineering, JKLU’s Institute of Engineering and Technology has expanded its offerings to include emerging fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Data Science. Each programme is firmly rooted in the strong foundation of Computer Science, with specialised expertise developed in these high-demand areas.

Students can now choose from undergraduate B.Tech programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, CSE (Artificial Intelligence), CSE (Data Science), CSE (Cybersecurity), Electronics and Communication Engineering (VLSI Design) and Computer Science and Design.

Developed in collaboration with industry leaders and benchmarked with the top 50 world Universities, these programmes feature a robust yet flexible curriculum. Students have the unique opportunity to spend up to four semesters at partner institutions, including top IITs, IIITs, and renowned universities worldwide.

“At JKLU, we focus on building a career path for each student based on their interest through a choice-based system. In addition to being technically sound, our multidisciplinary offerings ensure a humane engineer grounded in both theory and practice,” said Professor Alka Mahajan, Pro Vice Chancellor, JK Lakshmipat University.

“In line with the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP), JKLU has developed a pedagogy that prioritises experiential learning and discovery-oriented education, and with the introduction of the enhanced basket of engineering programmes in 2025, we are certain that for many students, the search for a meaningful engineering programme will end at JKLU,” Professor Mahajan added.

Alongside its engineering programmes, JK Lakshmipat University (JKLU) has established a strong reputation for its management and design programmes, recognised for nurturing industry-ready graduates equipped with a blend of creativity, analytical skills, and practical expertise.

Shaping Future Business Leaders

JKLU’s Institute of Management offers a diverse range of undergraduate management programmes for aspiring business leaders -- 3-Year BBA, 4-Year BBA (Hons) and 3-Year BBA (Fintech).

The curricula of the BBA programmes are highly distinctive and have been meticulously designed to meet the current as well as future industry needs. Besides core courses in the management discipline, the programme structure provides ample opportunities for students to choose their own electives / concentrations and specialise in their chosen fields of interest, such as Entrepreneurship; Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI), Business Analytics, and Marketing.

For those interested in the future of financial technology, the 3-year BBA (Fintech) programme focuses on emerging trends such as blockchain and digital payments. This programme integrates industry collaborations, internships, and expert-led courses to deliver hands-on, real-world learning experiences. With industry professionals delivering full or fractional courses, JKLU’s BBA programmes ensure students are prepared for the demands of an ever-evolving business landscape.

Nurturing Creativity and Innovation

The Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme offered by JKLU’s Institute of Design fosters creativity and innovation with four specialisations: Interdisciplinary Design, Product Design, Interaction Design, and Integrated Communication Design.

The programme’s curriculum bridges artistic vision with technological expertise, encouraging students to develop user-centric solutions for real-world challenges. By integrating design thinking, advanced tools, and hands-on projects, the programme prepares graduates to thrive at the intersection of creativity, functionality, and technology.

Postgraduate and Doctoral Programmes

For advanced learners, JKLU offers Master of Design (M.Des) in Product and Interaction Design, besides the M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. Additionally, its Ph.D programmes in Engineering, Management, and Humanities provide a platform for rigorous research and innovation, fostering thought leaders who address critical academic and industry challenges.

“JKLU is dedicated to providing a transformative learning experience that extends beyond the classroom,” noted Prof Mahajan. “We recognise the unique potential of every student and are committed to equipping them with the confidence and skills needed to excel in a dynamic world. Today’s students aspire to explore diverse interests and push the boundaries of traditional education. At JKLU, we cultivate an environment that inspires innovation, nurtures aspirations, and empowers them to thrive in their chosen paths.
