Biography

Dr. Arpan Gupta is an Assistant Professor in the Institute of Engineering and Technology (Department of Computer Science and Engineering) at JK Lakshmipat University, Jaipur. Prior to joining JKLU, he was a senior data scientist working on machine vision application development and deployment on the edge devices. He has been working in the field of computer vision and video based activity recognition for the last 8 years. He completed his PhD thesis titled “Cricket Stroke Activity Recognition in Telecast Videos” under the guidance of Dr. Sakthi Balan and Prof. Ravi Gorthi at LNMIIT, Jaipur. His works have been published in ICVGIP, CVIP, Image and Vision Computing and Multimedia Tools and Applications.

  • Won numerous awards at the inter-school, inter-collegiate, district and state chess championships, and participated in national level chess tournaments.
