Higher Education in India and contribution of Management Education towards growth and development of Nation

The concept of development has evolved from income and income distribution to human resource development. The essence of Human Development is education, which crafts the socio-economic fabric of the Country and Management Education Plays a significant role in providing strength to this fabric. The demographic dividend that most often is talked about now a days cannot be achieved unless our most valuable resource i.e. youth is nurtured and shaped through quality professional education. Economic well-being can only be realized by developing higher intellectual and professional capabilities of human beings and Institute of Management provides a perfect blend of strong academic rigor and practical industry interaction to aspiring managers.

A good quality human resource base is extremely important in today’s highly competitive environment. Management Education facilitates to have a better quality of life. Dr. Amit Jain is Associate Professor in Marketing Area with JK Lakshmipat University and currently chairs the MBA Programme of the University. He has been associated with various management and training institutes as a guest faculty, such as Bank of Baroda Staff College, Ahmedabad Management Association, Sardar Patel University, ICFAI University and Ahmedabad University. Dr. Jain has visited University of Technology Sydney, Australia as Honorary Visiting Professor in 2012. Dr. Jain has designed and conducted training programmes/sessions for various organizations. Dr. Jain has several publications to his credit and has presented research papers at National and International conferences organized by institutes like IIM, IIT SMU, Singapore and UTS, Sydney. He has received award for three of his research papers at National and International Conferences. Dr. Jain is life member of Indian Society for Training and Development and currently holds position of Chairman with ISTD-Jaipur Chapter. His area of interest for Research, Training and Consultancy includes Marketing Strategy, Sales Management, Marketing Communications and Retail Management.
